I haven't been here in over 20 years. But this restaurant still has a following due to attentive service, quick delivery of orders, reasonable pricing and generous portions. They also seem to have many regular customers, which is a great sign for a business. There are multiple combination dinners to choose from. The combo with teriyaki chicken AND beef, with mixed tempura and nigiri sushi comes with a little dab of salad, miso soup and rice was a value at $21. The place is retro and worn at the edges but it reminds me of the Japanese restaurants when I started eating out on my own. They also have boats too, where your food is displayed on these large wooden boat like containers

Can't beat the food and the prices. Such amazing and friendly staff that makes you feel like home. Anytime I'm in the area I have to stop by. I've never tried better Gyozas anywhere else, not to mention their Gyoza house sauce is the best ANYWHERE.

We came back because our last visit was amazing! However, today was super busy so we had to wait a little longer than usual. But I understand the craziness and still had a great overall experience dining in. The combination plate, #20, edamame, milk tea is still a must staple in my visit! Thank you for always having great service! See ya'll nxt Sunday!

I've been a consistent customer at sakura of tokyo for 3 years and hands down its one of the cutest restaurants I've ever seen. Service is good and the atmosphere reminds me of my trip to japan i took over the summer. The walls are decorated with everything japanese-esque and it makes the place comfy and warm. Food is also priced really reasonably relative to the quality and I always know what to expect when coming back every time.

Stopped by this place while walking around! This sushi spot also had American food which is rare to find! I had to get some sushi though & it was so tasty! The servers were kind & we got sat down at a reasonable time. We sat outside under some shade. Now for the food: Vegetable Tempura 10/10: so crispy, perfect ratio to veggie to tempera! Surprisingly very tasty R-18 Salmon Poke Roll 8/10: very yummy roll! Packed with salmon which I thoroughly enjoyed! Overall I enjoy this restaurant and I enjoyed that they had other food options other than just sushi (not pictured)

Huge portions! Sushi was like double normal size,no joke. Been about 2 years since my last visit, and they added new things like a special menu for rolls and a menu for boba drinks. Food is delicious, and the server made us laugh.

This used to be my favorite restaurant when I was little. That being said, I have been coming here my whole life. Recently came in for lunch, and I got the teriyaki chicken, sashimi, and tempura plate. It was so much, and such great quality. Our server was very patient and helpful. And the restaurant inside has lots of seating, and very cute/cool decorations all around. If you live in West Covina, or are in the area, I highly recommend this place!
